Welcome to the BC Small Water Systems Online Help Centre.

We’re here to help small water system operators and owners across British Columbia with free, practical tools, templates, webinars, and courses you can use right away.

Our resources are based on the Multi-Barrier Approach (protecting water at every step, from source to tap) and are designed to support risk reduction, safe day-to-day operations, and long-term system sustainability, so you can deliver safe drinking water with confidence.

Understanding Water Supplier Needs Survey

The Province invites community water suppliers serving up to 3000 connections to take part in this one-time survey to understand community water supplier needs. By sharing your experience, you will help build the evidence needed to identify province-wide priorities, determine where additional supports, tools, or resources may be needed in the future.

You may have participated in the voluntary Water Supply Status Survey this year or in previous years, providing information on the status of your water supply from June to October. If so, thank you. This is a different survey with a different focus.

Water Supply Status Survey 2026

This survey is for community drinking water suppliers within BC that draw water directly from a surface water or groundwater source.

The survey is your opportunity to share up-to-date information on the status of your water supply and to let us know if you have any concerns about a drinking water shortage.

We encourage you to take 10-20 minutes to fill out an initial survey and help us understand the state of drinking water supplies as we approach the dry season.
